Gustavo Azuga Gustavo Azuga was born in a mining Town in Bolivia. He learned folk Music with Oscar Rojas in high school,also admire his uncle Rodolfo that played in a musical group in Oruro, Gustavo started performing for big audiences while obtaining his Engineering Degree at ITESO University in Guadalajara Mexico. He plays charango, guitar and various wind instruments . Since Gustavo left Bolivia he has performed extensively in Mexico and the USA. Gustavo formed Yarawi in 1993 in the Washington Area
Dirk Bayer (Diego) Dirk Bayer plays all the wind instruments such as the zampoņa, quena,quenacho,tarka,and the moseņo. His love for Andean music started in Germany. He travels to Peru and Bolivia very often to learn new musical technics he also played extensively in Southamerica and the USA. Dirk joined Yarawi in 1998.
Luis Velasco Luis Velasco was born in Cochabamba, the eternal spring valley in Bolivia where he learned to play the charango a ten string instrument Luis will be attending College in 2008 inVirginia, he likes sports, his favorite is soccer,he is #1 fan of Wilsterman a team from Cochabamba in Bolivia
Felipe Ugalde Felipe Ugalde from La Paz, Bolivia The highest capital city in the world he learned the spanish clasic guitar while attending a prestigious University the "Universidad Catolica de Bolivia" He has traveled with Yarawi to perform at the Andes festival in New York, and various other places Felipe plays the guitar and bombo. His favorite soccer team in la Paz Bolivia is "The Strongest"
Diego Azuga Diego Azuga was born in Virginia, he is the youngest member of the group,he is enjoing learning about the various Bolivian instruments with his father, in addition Diego takes piano and violin lessons. Diego contributes to Yarawi concerts playing the violin, bombo and percussion effects
